Strip That Down (feat. Quavo) - Single

Liam Payne

Liam James Payne, born 29 August 1993 (age 20), is from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England and is a member of English-Irish five-piece boyband One Direction. The talented teen earned a standing ovation from the crowd and all the judges on The X Factor, saying afterwards: “To get that reaction was just amazing. To have Simon stand up for me was amazing”. Cheryl praised his performance telling Liam: “You’ve definitely got it... I thought your voice was very powerful.” At boot camp, his rendition of 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' by Oasis failed to impress the judges, meaning he didn't make into the top eight boys, however, the judges decided to put him into a group called One Direction with four other boys, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. This isn't a bad song. This does seem like an honorable mention for a summer song, I'm familiar with this beat, but it kind of sounds like the bootleg version of a dj mustard beat. just feel like it could've been done better. Even those vocals that say "strip that down, girl" are bootleg. Again, I'm familiar with the concept of the deep voice, like the one before we can't stop by Miley Cyrus, but it sounds like the cringey, bootleg version of that, therefore the chorus doesn't do it for me. Also this song is really raunchy and sexual, leaving my parents no choice but to turn off the song. Here's what I'll say good about the song: Liam Payne has a great voice, the lyrics were pretty well written, and what a better collab then to work with someone who hops on almost every song you hear. Not a bad song, it definitely made it's way into my head. 😂

  • generic!

it's a little catchy i must admit, but it makes me a little uncomfortable to listen to. also seems like there was no effort put forth. basic lyrics with a very typical generic background. anyone could have produced this song in an hour. disappointing.

This song was somewhat catchy however it was very generic. It didn't show case his vocal ability at all! There are better songs than this one, especially with better lyrics and vocals.
