Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania) is an American country pop singer-songwriter and actress. Swift is a 7-time Grammy winner with a total of 22 nominations (April 2015). In 2006, she released her debut single Tim McGraw, then her self-titled debut album, which was subsequently certified multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. In November 2008, Swift released her second album, Fearless, which featured a number of more pop oriented songs such as You Belong With Me and Love Story. Fearless was the best-selling album in 2009 in the USA and was awarded with 4 Grammy's. Swift's third and fourth albums, 2010's Speak Now and 2012's Red, both sold over one million copies within the first week of their US release. “Speak Now” won two Grammy Awards, while “Red’s” singles We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble were worldwide hits. The 1989 was released on October 27, 2014. It marked a move away from her earlier country sounds and fully into pop. Both the title (1989) and the overall sound of the album - synth pop - were a nod to her birth year and nostalgia with the 1980s. It became the best-selling album of 2014, selling 3.66m copies in USA, and as of April 2015, it had sold 4.5m copies in the US (9m worldwide). The first single from the album was Shake It Off (released on August 18, 2014), which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. • I changed my mind

I originally gave this album a 1 star review after hearing the first 4 singles, which was harsh and unfair. Since owning the album since its release date, I have grown to love it, including the first 4 singles. Taylor Swift has a way of changing her style in each album while still maintaining her trademark creativity and sound, even if it's buried deep enough that it takes a while to realize. I have been an avid listener since her first album and I have to say that she hit it out of the park with this one! If you immediately discredit this album, I'm telling you to give it a few listens before you make a complete opinion, it's worth it!
  • Taylor is Back!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 😉

This is Taylor’s BEST album!! It is a completely different take on Taylor’s music style, but it still has some of the elements from 1989 that we loved so much! It is truly a remarkable album!!

This is awesome! Personally I’m not a huge fan of look what you made me do but that’s just my preference of music. The album itself is incredible but I would like to see some of the old Taylor, like 1989, but I could learn to love this new look. I really love don’t blame me and I did something bad, but my favorite is probably the last song because it left me with memorabilia of 1989 and her old music because it was a ballad. Either way Reputation is an excellent album through and through, and even though I miss the old Taylor, she’s still amazing. I hope that you create something even more miraculous the next time around, because I’ll be waiting for the next work of art!!! I LOVE YOU TAYLOR AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

She’s the biggest pop-star in the world and It’s typical for extremely popular artists to change things up a bit after having huge success, also to not be formulaic and just try to sell out. She easily could have made another 1989 but she decided to switch it up and it’s good so far. The old Taylor isn’t dead, she’s just evolving. “If you make the joke first and make it better it’s not as funny when people call you names” -Taylor This album made me a I cannot write enough about this album.
  • Don’t blame me sounds like sias music but I like it

  • Not good at first listen

but it grows. I hated it in November and love it now. The only problem is the absence of mind-blowingly good singles, which she had in all her past albums, multiple. CIWYW is great but not enough.
  • She’s full of surprises

So mush talent riding on this album, she is so unique in her own way. Her song writing just gets better and better. This album speaks from experience and being human, honesty, strength and projecting a voice. I love this album, its got some sick beat.
